本片改编自韩国漫画家许英万著名漫画作品《第七个球队》，以大猩猩作为主角，讲述了名为Mr.GO的大猩猩与职业联赛中垫底的棒球球队之间妙趣横生又充满奇思妙想的故事。中国某马戏团的延边女孩薇薇（徐娇饰）为偿还巨债，接受韩国金牌经理人（成东日饰）邀请，与团中擅长打棒球的猩猩灵灵远赴韩国加入职业棒球联赛，超凡实力旋即成为体育界瞩目巨星Mr.GO。当所有人以为可以赚个盘满钵满之际，灵灵膝头的隐疾发作，不能再作赛﹗最后大明猩——Mr.GO能否应薇薇心愿再挥动棒球，赢取终极奖金，与她一起平安回到中国？
