毕业于警备学堂的上海滩侦探宋天鹏一心做个除暴安良的好侦探，可世道不济，生活窘迫就在此时，宋天鹏接了一个老宅闹鬼案。宋天鹏本以为凭着自己的能力和经验这个案子无非就是个恶作剧而已，很快就能结束，谁知却让他陷入了一个恩怨纠葛的案中案之中......
